curb strap. The curb strap should engage at about 45 degrees. However, each horse may be
a little different. Too tight doesn't allow for the element of "engagement" and too loose can
pinch the lips. As a general rule, you should be able to just fit two fingers under the strap.
And remember- the faster the work, the tighter the curb; the slower the work, the looser the
curb.
